Lana L. Rupprecht, Assistant Vice President and Senior Product Compliance Counsel of Reliance Matrix will be one of the moderators for this program.

In this session, Christine M. Schott, Senior Advisor, Wage and Hour Division at the U.S. Department of Labor, and Jocelyn Samuels, Vice Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will discuss current employer challenges under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as key DOL and EEOC priorities. Some topics covered include leaves of absence, job protections, remote workers, scheduling and overtime issues, medical documentation questions, long COVID, mental health, and other trending leave and accommodation issues.

How to Manage an Uncooperative Employee under the ADA

In this session, Eric Broutman, Director-Employment Law and Litigation Counsel, and Armando Rodriguez, Product Compliance Counsel have planned an interactive and fun session discussing how to manage uncooperative employees under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In this session Eric and Armando will cover how to work with an uncooperative, uninformative employee including what can be asked, what medical information can be required and what deadlines or timelines can be imposed.
